Return Policy

At I Am Covered Hair, we understand that it can be difficult to choose the perfect hair extensions online. We always want our customers to be completely satisfied. We will make every effort to match each order to your exact specifications. Because our natural hair is 100% raw and virgin human hair, each individual piece comes from a separate donor. As a result, we cannot guarantee hair color, texture, or luster.

Our natural hair comes in a straight, wavy, or curly pattern, and the color will range between a natural 1b and 2. In some cases we may have natural lighter pieces that are available upon request, but not guaranteed. With that being said, we are more than happy to offer you an exchange based on the Return Policy outlined below.

Return Policy

Hair Extensions (Wefted Bundles)

We gladly accept returns (exchanges only) on uninstalled and unaltered hair extensions within 14 calendar days of receiving your merchandise. Unaltered includes, but is not limited to, hair that is not processed, colored, rinsed, lifted, bleached, permed, cut, combed, brushed, picked out, flat ironed, curled, washed, tested and/or removed from the original bundle. Unaltered also includes hair that does not have product added to it. All returned hair extensions MUST:

  • be returned in the original bundle (unzipped/untied), unworn, unaltered, and undamaged, and
  • be returned in the original packaging with all items from the original shipment, including, but not limited to VIP hair storage bags, hangers, and flyers.

Closures, Frontals, & Wigs

We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any closures, frontals, or wigs. All closures, frontals, and wigs are considered FINAL SALE with no refunds or exchanges.

Style Sample Sets

We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any style sample sets. All Style Sample Sets are considered FINAL SALE with no refunds or exchanges.


We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any t-shirt orders. All t-shirts are considered FINAL SALE with no refunds or exchanges.


We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any bracelet orders. All bracelets are considered FINAL SALE with no refunds or exchanges.

Hair Styling Tools

We gladly accept returns on all unused hair styling tools within 14 calendar days of receiving your merchandise. All returned hair styling tools MUST be returned in the original packaging.

Custom Orders

We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any custom orders. All custom orders are considered FINAL SALE with no refunds or exchanges.

Any Items Purchased Wholesale, On Sale, With A Coupon, Or A Promo Code

We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS on any items purchased wholesale, on sale, with a coupon, or with a promo code. This includes all items that typically qualify for a return above.

Return Authorization Number

To obtain an exchange for an item that qualifies for a return, request a Return Authorization Number within 14 calendar days of receiving your merchandise. To request a Return Authorization Number, email and include the following information:

  • name,
  • order number,
  • reason for return,
  • the clear request for an exchange (note: include what to exchange the merchandise for), and
  • a photo of the merchandise.

Restocking Fee

There is a non-refundable 25% restocking fee on all returned merchandise.


ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! We do NOT offer refunds, we offer exchanges only on the qualified items mentioned above. We will not cancel or refund orders due to not acknowledging our processing timeframes or not being familiar with authentic raw hair. If you select merchandise in exchange of greater value, you will be responsible for paying the additional cost of the item(s) (plus the non-refundable 25% restocking fee and shipping costs). If the exchange is of lesser value, you will receive a refund of the difference (minus the non-refundable 25% restocking fee and shipping costs).


We highly recommend the return package be fully insured to cover any carrier issues. In addition, we strongly suggest a tracking number be obtained to ensure the return package can be tracked at all times.

Note: I Am Covered Hair does not accept any responsibility for packages lost by a carrier, nor do we offer any refunds or credits for shipping costs associated with returned or exchanged merchandise. All shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Return Package

The return package must be postmarked within 5 calendar days of receiving a Return Authorization Number to continue with an exchange. The return package MUST include the following:

  • the returned merchandise,
  • the Return Authorization Number clearly printed on the shipping label,
  • a copy of the return authorization email sent from I Am Covered Hair, and
  • a copy of the original invoice.

Mail the return package to the address provided with your Return Authorization Number.

Return Processing Time

Returned merchandise that qualifies for an exchange may take up to 7 calendar days to process and verify eligibility.


We will not accept any returned merchandise that does not follow this Return Policy as outlined above. Any loss incurred during a return or exchange, shall be the sole responsibility of the customer. Please do not send unauthorized returns to us without a Return Authorization Number. If we receive an unauthorized return, you agree that you no longer want the product and release ownership back to us without eligibility for a refund or exchange in the future. Any chargebacks or disputes made with your credit card, bank, or PayPal without initially contacting I Am Covered Hair for resolve will automatically result in a forfeiture of any refunds or exchanges.
